Introduction
Because of complex geological structure, oil wells with fine silt are very common in oilfields throughout China. Conventional pump causes various problems, such as sand sticking, low pump efficiency, which probably leads to production stop because of untimely disabled pump.
After long and fully investigation, we have developed a new type multifunctional anti-sticking pump with long plunger for both light oil wells and heavy oil wells. This pump is used in wells with fine silt remarkable effects. Its service life is twice than conventional pump.
Structure Features and Working Principles
1) The pump seals itself by long plunger and short pump barrel. Its barrel surface is treated by special process to achieve better wear resistance and corrosion resistance. During pumping, plunger and barrel are fitted with each other in full length, which can prevent sand into barrel. And it also effectively prevents sand from burying the plunger and sucker rod when pumping stops.
With this structure, it can avoid serious abrasion between barrel and plunger because of sand. And the hardened surface of plunger and barrel can keep nondestructive for long service life.
2) Valve cage of upper oil outlet, with enlarged flow area, is at outside of barrel. The structure can decrease resistance of oil output.
3)The pump adopts short pump barrel and its lower connecting pipe is a bit larger than pump barrel. It can effectively reduce the downward resistance with long plunger and short barrel.
4) According to the features of heavy oil, the fixed valve channel and the ball seat have been proved that the weight of standing valve ball is twice of ordinary one. It can shut down in a short time and improve pump efficiency greatly.
5) The operation and maintenance of the pump are similar to the conventional pump, with easy disassembling and installation.
